Gorilla 8mm Interlocking Rubber Tiles

These puzzle-edge tiles connect to form a modular gym floor. Choose from black and coloured fleck options, with single tiles and 12-packs available on selected listings. They can be a practical option for home gyms, equipment areas and commercial fitness spaces when matched to the intended use.

Start with Gorilla 8mm Gray tiles, Black tiles or Canada fleck tiles. Check the selected colour, quantity option and availability before ordering.

Gorilla 20mm Utility Tiles

Compare the thicker 20mm utility tile system for free-weight and functional training areas. The Gorilla 20mm Grey utility tile uses included connectors. Matching ramps and corner pieces are available for selected systems; confirm compatibility and the pieces needed for your layout.

Choose flooring based on your equipment, subfloor and training—not thickness alone. For repeated weight drops or concentrated impact, ask our team whether a dedicated lifting platform or additional protection is appropriate.

Tiles, Rolls or Larger Rubber Mats?

Tiles let you plan a modular layout and replace individual sections. Rubber flooring rolls cover larger areas with fewer joins, while larger rubber mats can define individual training stations. Compare material, thickness, installation requirements and delivered cost for your space.

How Many Rubber Tiles Do I Need?

1. Measure the length and width of your training area and calculate its square footage.
2. Confirm the usable coverage of the exact tile, including how its interlocking edges or connectors fit together.
3. Divide the area by usable coverage per tile and round up. Check the row layout as well as the total area.
4. Allow extra material for cuts, irregular walls and spares. The Gorilla 8mm product guidance recommends 5–10% extra.
5. Check whether the selected price is for one tile or a pack, and allow for compatible ramps or edge pieces where needed.

Size matters: selected Gorilla tiles sold as “2 × 2” list dimensions of 23 × 23 inches. Do not assume every tile covers 4 square feet. Confirm installed coverage before finalising quantities.

Rubber Gym Tile FAQs

Should I choose 8mm or 20mm rubber tiles?

Compare the complete flooring system against your equipment and training. The 8mm range uses puzzle-style interlocking edges; the 20mm utility range offers a thicker connector-based system. Thickness alone does not guarantee protection from dropped weights or suitability for every subfloor.

Do the tiles need glue?

The listed Gorilla 8mm interlocking tiles are designed to fit together without adhesive, while the 20mm utility system uses connectors. Follow the specific product’s installation instructions, including surface preparation and any requirements for your layout.

Can I install rubber tiles in a basement or garage gym?

Check that the substrate is clean, dry, level and compatible with the selected flooring. Resolve moisture issues before installation. For an existing finished floor, confirm material compatibility and whether a suitable barrier is required.

Will rubber tiles soundproof my gym?

Rubber can help dampen impact noise and vibration, but it does not make a room soundproof. Results depend on the floor structure, flooring system, equipment and how weights are handled.

Can I mix different rubber tile sizes or thicknesses?

Do not assume different ranges will connect. Match the tile system, thickness and connector or edge profile, and check compatible ramps and corners before ordering.

How do I clean rubber gym tiles?

Remove loose dirt regularly and use a cleaner approved for the particular rubber flooring. Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions and avoid leaving excess water on the surface or in the seams.

Do you ship rubber flooring across Canada?

Canadian shipping options and charges depend on the flooring quantity, weight and destination. Review the shipping terms and confirm the service available for your postal code.
